In the old days a river port, and a place to cross the river before the bridges were built. Today “Le Port de Limeuil” is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations in the Dordogne, with its wonderful pebble beach, the confluence Dordogne-Vézère, and its magnificent view of the medieval village of Limeuil.

You can enjoy the swimming pool, a heated play-pool with whirlpool and toboggan, one pool for swimming and a paddling pool for small children, but also the calm of the riverside. Direct access to the beach. Float on the river with a swim ring, build little dams, find flat pebbles to skim stones, get a suntan, go fishing or read in the shade….. Campfires, or barbecues on the beach, to finish a pleasant day.

On the beach of the river Dordogne, Aquafun invites you for (day) trips in a canoe, a single or double kayak. With friends or the family, you can go canoeing on the Dordogne or the Vézère.
Peter will bring you upstream and you can enjoy the river at your own pace until your arrival back at the campsite. Pick-nicking, bathing and lots of fun will be on the programme.
If you want to go hiking or canoeing for a few days, you can leave your vehicle at the campsite.
Possibility of just transport by car. Walking ‚à la carte‘. Reception of groups (pick-nick baskets on request).
